RIVER ROMANCE - an English riverside elopement styled shoot

There is something about the tranquility of this beautiful riverside wedding inspiration shoot that feels so precious right now as weddings are postponed and couples hunker down and focus on each other and their immediate situation. The intimacy of the secluded boathouse setting, and the elopement feel to this shoot, seems to reflect this mood perfectly.

Shoot co-ordinator and stylist Lauren, from Bluebird Creative, joined with photographer Mindy Coe, renowned for her natural, outdoor wedding photography, to take advantage of a very special opportunity to shoot at a beautiful private residence in Windsor. Together with a host of wedding supplies and creatives, they created a hidden paradise, full of romance, making the most of the dappled light and secluded setting.

In Mindy's words, 'the setting was incredible. With its own little rustic boathouse as the main feature and a river boat, it was the perfect setting for a fairytale elopment. There were so many hidden gems to capture amazing moments between our couple' and moments of reflection for them as individuals.

The bride's hair and make up was created by Surrey-based MUA Melissa Oldridge and featured our headpieces and jewellery, including an extremely special flower crown created from vintage bone china floral jewellery. The look designed to enhance the model's natural features and feel effortless, yet still looked groomed and graceful.

The bride's wild bouquet was created by London florist Bluesky Flowers and featured a fragrant mix of Secret Garden, Ohara and Yves Piaget roses, delphinium, orlaya, clematis, phlox, Belle Epoque tulips, bowl of cream peony, lilac, nigella, foxgloves, hellebores and jasmine.

The gowns are from Rembo Styling and were supplied by the Secret Dress House.

The relaxed and romantic dining table was set by the riverside, with seating supplied by Turmeric House. It featured coloured and textured glasses and decorate charger plates and cutlery. The beautiful cake, understated yet intricately adorned is by Milk Street Kitchen. The table also featured a scattering of their flower shaped biscuits covered in edible sugared flowers and pastel coloured macaroons. The handwritten caligraphy was handwritten by Bluebird Creative. I love the intimate yet exquisitely special feel that these well-thought out details create.
