Vintage Handpainted Mother of Pearl Pendant
A beautiful vintage pendant, most likely to be of Persian origin and dating from the early-mid 20th century. It is made of mother of pearl shell encased in a twisted silver frame with a bail and tear shape drops along the bottom edge. It has been handpainted on both sides. On one is an image of colourful birds and whimsical flowers; on the other, is a scene of village-dwellers near a wooded glade.
The triangular pendant measures approx 4.5cm long x 4 cm at its widest part, plus an additonal 0.5cm drop for the bail.
This lovely piece can be worn on a silver chain, or on a ribbon. Please indicate your preference via the drop down menu.
